About the Competition

The competition aims to reinforce ASEAN's position as a stable and peaceful region under the theme "ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth." Indonesia, the current chairman of the association, is committed to upholding international law, fostering cooperation, and avoiding any alliances that may compromise ASEAN's unity. The ASEAN 2023 agenda encompasses a broad range of issues, including the promotion of Peace and Solidarity among the ASEAN People, ASEAN as a Center for Economic Growth, and the development of ASEAN Culture, Tourism, and Diversity.

Given ASEAN's diversity of cultures, languages, and perspectives, we recognize that each individual has a unique viewpoint that can provide valuable insight into the region's growth and potential. Seasia and SEA Today share the vision of "echoing" Indonesia's ASEAN Chairmanship 2023 to the rest of the world, with a particular emphasis on Southeast Asia. Through this competition, we seek to not only report on ASEAN's progress but also engage our respective audiences in promoting and echoing these efforts.

In the age of digitalization, social media has become a potent tool for raising awareness about ASEAN issues and challenges. As such, we encourage photographers from across ASEAN to participate in the Echoing ASEAN Photo Competition and share their distinctive perspectives on the ASEAN Epicentrum of Growth. Whether capturing the vibrancy of bustling cities, the magnificence of breathtaking landscapes, or the inspiring stories of people who call ASEAN home, your photographs can capture the essence of this dynamic region.
